I made this album after receiving some burnout when making both sampled-based music (i.e. Future Funk or Vaporfunk) and non-sampled Electronic music. I started this project around the start of January because my main computer was out of commission for about two weeks. My graphics card had died on me, and I had to get a new one. With my newfound boredom during the cold winter, I decided to strike up my Macbook Air and make some music there. While I had FL Studio on there, I found to gravitate more towards GarageBand as I was able to finally incorporate my thrifted red electric guitar into music like never before. Since then, I created these tracks that I really like and would have never stumbled upon if it weren't for my computer dying on me. It opened me up to the world of guitar playing and actually getting the hang of playing. As I progressed with my skills, I got me an upgrade with a used Epiphone Les Paul and really went to town making music. All of a sudden I had an nine great tracks on my hands, which is now compiled into 'alone with my guitar'. The album shifts from more mellow/soft tracks and gradually builds towards a more hard-hitting rock anthem near the back half. This comes visuals with the soft tracks being lower case and the rocky tracks being in ALL CAPS - MF DOOM. What I will say is, music is definitely a great thing. While I will say that this was a diversion from my typical sound, it has definitely opened me up towards new musical beginnings. It has gotten me out of my musical slump I've been in due to school and work and has me wanting to make music again. So, here it is. The album that has gotten me back into my creative habits!
